Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk (TPL), Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) Provinsi Sumatera Utara (Sumut) mengusulkan perdamaian dengan cara Restorative Justice diantara kedua belah pihak.
Hal tersebut disampaikan sejumlah Anggota Dewan Komisi A DPRD Sumut, dalam kunjungan kerja ke Desa Natumingka sekaligus menyambangi masyarakat pada Kamis, 3 Juni 2021.
Pendekatan Restorative Justice dalam penyelesaian tindak pidana di tingkat penyidikan, merupakan alternatif dengan mengedepankan pendekatan integral, untuk mencari solusi serta kembali pada pola hubungan baik diantara keduanya.
“Karena ini konflik sosial, maka kita mengusulkan pada keduanya untuk Restorasive Justice. Keduanya diharapkan duduk bersama, sehingga upaya perdamaian tercipta. Kami juga berharap pasca peristiwa ini tidak ada lagi keributan, yang membuat masyarakat tidak nyaman terkait dengan hal yang tidak nyaman,” ujar Jonius Taripar Hutabarat salah satu anggota Komisi A DPRD Sumut.
Selain itu, sejumlah wakil rakyat ini juga meminta pemerintah dalam hal ini pihak kehutanan dan perusahaan, dapat memberikan keterangan serta informasi yang sebenarnya mengenai wilayah tanah yang diperselisihkan masyarakat.

“Kami juga mengusulkan kepada Pemerintah Kabupaten Toba, segera membuat regulasi Perda tanah adat, tentunya dengan mekanisme dan hukum yang berlaku khusus kawasan yang masih dalam sengketa, antara masyarakat Natumingka dengan pihak perusahaan,” tegas Jonius Taripar Hutabarat.
