It is hoped that the number of regional bank customers will continue to grow.
This was conveyed by the Head of the North Sumatra DPRD Kunker Team for Dapil 2 Tuahman Purba after the visit to the North Sumatra Bank Office, Jalan Imam Bonjol Number 18, Medan. With the increase in Bank Sumut customers, according to him, it will have a positive effect on the Regional Original Income (PAD) of the North Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov).
“The community certainly chooses a bank with excellent service, therefore our Regional Bank needs to offer this. We see that the process has led to that, we will continue to monitor it and encourage that excellent service to be realized immediately,” said Tuahman, after a meeting with the Board of Directors of Bank Sumut, yesterday.
Bank Sumut itself has prepared a work plan to strengthen individual services such as debit cards, payments via QRIS, free withdrawal fees at other ATMs, T-money and Officeless Financial Services (Laku Pandai) and others. This aims to increase the liquidity of the Bank of North Sumatra during the pandemic.
In addition to improving individual services, Bank Sumut also focuses on retail banking outside of government funds and also reduces the cost of funds. Thus, it is hoped that the Bank of North Sumatra can continue to strengthen its liquidity.
“2020 is a tough year for banking because many industries or businesses are having difficulties. Therefore, the steps prepared by the Bank of North Sumatra in the future are very important. We hope that this strategy will be able to make Bank Sumut more advanced in the future,” said Tuahman, who came with three other members of the Kunker Dapil 2 Team, Strong Surbakti, Benny Harianto Sihotang and Meryl Rouli Saragih.
