Sumut dan Belanda Jajaki Ekspor Produk Unggulan ke Eropa | OBROLANBISNIS.com — Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Sumatera Utara (Sumut) bersama Kedutaan Besar (Kedubes) Belanda kembali melakukan diskusi (secara virtual) terkait upaya peningkatan ekspor produk unggulan Sumut masuk ke pasar Eropa melalui Belanda.
Plh Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi (Sekdaprov) Sumut Afifi Lubis dan Kepala Bagian Ekonomi Kedubes Belanda di Jakarta Hans de Brabander bersama para eksportir, membahas peluang pasar produk unggulan yang ada di Sumut agar dapat menembus pasar Eropa.
Afifi Lubis mengatakan, Pemprov Sumut menyambut baik kegiatan ini. Menurutnya, melalui webinar ini diharapkan dapat menyiapkan dan mendukung, serta memfasilitasi perdagangan nantinya, hingga membuka peluang keuntungan bagi semuanya.
“Terkait peluang kerja sama ini sudah dilakukan pertemuan sebelumnya dengan Sekda sebelumnya. Dan pertemuan yang ini merupakan sudah yang ke empat kalinya. Kita harapkan dapat terjalin kerja sama nantinya,” ucap Afifi Lubis di Ruang Command Centre, Kantor Gubernur Sumut, Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro Nomor 30 Medan, Rabu, 16 Juni 2021.
Hadir di antaranya Kepala Dinas Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Menengah Suherman dan Kepala Biro Pemerintahan dan Otonomi Daerah Basarin Yunus Tanjung, serta secara virtual Disperindag kabupaten/kota di Sumut, Pelaku Ekspor, dan UMKM.
Kepala Bagian Ekonomi Kedubes Belanda di Jakarta Hans de Brabander pada kesempatan itu berharap dengan kegiatan ini pelaku UMKM di Sumut dapat segera memasarkan produk unggulannya ke Eropa. Pihaknya saat ini membuka peluang membantu UMKM yang ada di Sumut untuk melakukan ekspor, yakni berupa edukasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam memasarkan produk ke Eropa.

“Di antaranya adalah CBI Expert serta lainnya yang nantinya akan membantu UMKM Sumut dapat menembus pasar Eropa melalui Belanda,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Coordinating Expert in Indonesia – CBI Dika Rinakuki pada kesempatan itu memaparkan beberapa produk unggulan yang ada di Sumut, yang dapat menembus pasar ekspor di Eropa, di antaranya Tenun Ulos, Kopi dan Essential Oils.
“Kalau kita memasarkan dalam bentuk kain ulos, maka ini akan sangat sulit, namun bila kita memodivikasi ulos tersebut seperti dekorasi rumah, dan sebagainya ini sangat menjanjikan,” bebernya.
Menurutnya, supplier utama ekspor ke Benua Eropa adalah negara Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapura dan yang terkecil adalah Indonesia. Potensi produk Indonesia di pasar Eropa tidak termasuk minyak sawit dan elektronik, barang tambang, adalah paroduk baju, buah-buahan, sepatu, perikanan, kayu, kopi, yang keseluruhan masih 48% yang tergarap.
“Untuk itu, tahapan yang harus kita persiapkan untuk melakukan ekspor itu yakni mencari informasi pasar, persyaratan, materi promosi dan melakukan promosi, dan CBI Indonesia dapat membantu untuk itu,” katanya.
Diketahui CBI Experts telah bekerja di 49 negara dan Indonesia salah satunya, yang fokus dalam 14 sektor yang ditangani yakni Natural Food, Cosmetic dan sebagainya. CBI melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan pada UMKM melakukan ekspor ke Eropa. ***
North Sumatra and the Netherlands Explore Exports of Leading Products to Europe | OBROLANBISNIS.com — The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) and the Dutch Embassy (Embassy) again held discussions (virtually) regarding efforts to increase exports of North Sumatra’s superior products to the European market through the Netherlands.
The Acting Secretary for the Province of North Sumatra, Afifi Lubis and the Head of the Economic Section of the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta, Hans de Brabander, together with exporters, discussed market opportunities for superior products in North Sumatra to penetrate the European market.
Afifi Lubis said the North Sumatra Provincial Government welcomed this activity. According to him, this webinar is expected to be able to prepare and support, as well as facilitate trade later, to open up profit opportunities for all.
“Regarding this cooperation opportunity, previous meetings have been held with the previous Regional Secretary. And this meeting is the fourth time. We hope that cooperation can be established later,” said Afifi Lubis in the Command Center Room, North Sumatra Governor’s Office, Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro Number 30 Medan, Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

On that occasion, Hans de Brabander, Head of the Economic Section of the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta, hoped that with this activity, MSME players in North Sumatra could immediately market their superior products to Europe. His party is currently opening opportunities to help SMEs in North Sumatra to export, namely in the form of education, training and assistance in marketing products to Europe.
“Among them are CBI Experts and others who will later help North Sumatran SMEs penetrate the European market through the Netherlands,” he said.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Expert in Indonesia – CBI Dika Rinakuki on that occasion explained several superior products in North Sumatra, which can penetrate the export market in Europe, including Ulos Weaving, Coffee and Essential Oils.
“If we market it in the form of ulos cloth, it will be very difficult, but if we modify the ulos such as home decorations, and so on, this is very promising,” he explained.
According to him, the main suppliers of exports to the European continent are Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and the smallest is Indonesia. The potential of Indonesian products in the European market, excluding palm oil and electronics, mining goods, is clothing, fruit, shoes, fisheries, wood, coffee, of which 48% are still being worked on.
“For that, the stages that we have to prepare for exporting are looking for market information, requirements, promotional materials and conducting promotions, and CBI Indonesia can help with that,” he said.
It is known that CBI Experts have worked in 49 countries and Indonesia is one of them, which focuses on 14 sectors handled, namely Natural Food, Cosmetics and so on. CBI conducts training and assistance for MSMEs in exporting to Europe. ***
