Keberadaan Bandara Bukit Malintang ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan perekonomian wilayah Tapanuli Bagian Selatan (Tabagsel). Karena, selain untuk mewujudkan konektivitas wilayah, keberadaan Bandara baru ini juga diyakini akan menjadi pintu gerbang kegiatan perekonomian daerah, pendorong serta penunjang kegiatan industri serta sektor perdagangan di kawasan ini.

Untuk itu, Gubernur Edy Rahmayadi terus mendorong agar pembangunan Bandara baru ini berlangsung sesuai progres yang diharapkan. Di lokasi, Edy Rahmayadi merasa puas dengan proses pengerjaan yang sudah melakukan pengerukan dan penimbunan lintasan Bandara, yang ditargetkan pada tahun ini akan merampungkan 350 meter lintasan pacu dari 3.000 meter keseluruhan luas bandara. Edy berharap pengerjaan ini dapat rampung sesuai target 2023.



“Kalau melihat hasil progres kerja kalian, saya yakin 2023 ini dapat rampung, dan paling utama target itu dapat dikejar,” ucap Edy Rahmayadi, Jumat, 18 Juni 2021, yang hadir bersama Wakil Ketua DPRD Sumut Harun Mustafa Nasution. Hadir juga Wakil Bupati Madina Muhammad Jafar Sukhairi Nasution serta Kasubsi Keamanan Bandara Aek Godang Bili Akbar.

Edy Rahmayadi menjelaskan target 3.000 m luas Bandara Bukit Malintang ini nantinya agar pesawat berkapasitas besar dapat mendarat di bandara tersebut, walaupun nantinya akan berdampak pada Bandara Aek Godang Padangsdimpuan.

“Pasti ada dampaknya dengan Sidimpuan, tapi itu tidak perlu dikhawatirkan, karena penumpang memiliki tujuan tertentu,” katanya.

Di lain pihak, Wakil Bupati Madina Muhammad Jafar Sukhairi Nasution pada kunjungan itu meminta pada Kementrian Perhubungan dalam hal ini diwakilkan pada Kasubsi Keamanan Bandara Aek Godang Bili Akbar, untuk juga menyiapkan masterplan progres perencanaan pengerjaan jalan akses ke Bandara yang mengambil tema penghijaun.

“Jadi kita Pemkab Madina juga dapat membantu proses pengerjaan jalan lainnya untuk segera mempercepat pembangunan,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Kasubsi Keamanan Bandara Aek Godang Bili Akbar pada kesempatan itu meminta Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Sumut untuk dapat membantu proses pelepasan tanah. Menurutnya, berdasarkan penghitungan pihaknya dari target 3.000 m luas tanah Bandara tersebut akan menghabiskan anggaran Rp15 miliar.



“Segera akan kita kerjakan sesuai target pengerjaan Pak, dan kami berharap bantuan untuk pelepasan tanah tersebut,” ungkapnya.

Untuk diketahui pembangunan Bandara Bukit Malintang ini merupakan kerja sama Kementerian Perhubungan dengan Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Mandina serta Pemprov Sumut. Pemkab Madina menghibahkan lahan kurang lebih 106 hektare dan akan disusul 20 hektare dari hibah Pemprov Sumut serta ada penambahan lain nantinya, serta target panjang runway mencapai 1.600 meter. ***
