Dalam laporannya, FCA menyebut tidak ada entitas lain di Grup Binance yang memegang segala bentuk otorisasi, pendaftaran atau lisensi Inggris untuk melakukan aktivitas yang diatur di Inggris.
Pernyataan FCA sekaligus memperingatkan investor Inggris tentang volatilitas pasar kripto. Pun sepengetahuan, bahwa perdagangan mata uang kripto tidak diatur secara langsung di Inggris. Namun, aktivitas terkait lainnya, seperti menjual derivatif, masih membutuhkan persetujuan otoritas keuangan setempat.
“Berhati-hatilah terhadap iklan online dan di media sosial yang menjanjikan pengembalian investasi tinggi dalam aset kripto,” imbuh FCA mengeluarkan warningnya, seperti dilansir CNBC Indonesia, Senin, 28 Juni 2021.
Plaftorm jual beli aset kripto Binance diklaim yang terbesar di dunia. Namun ternyata belum terdaftar secara resmi di Indonesia. Dikonfirmasi oleh Ketua Satgas Waspada Investasi (SWI) Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), Tongam L Tobing menyatakan, sesuai informasi yang tertera pada website Bappebti, per tanggal 18 Februari 2021 hanya ada 13 perusahaan yang termasuk Daftar Perusahaan Pedagang Aset Kripto yang Terdaftar di Bappebti (calon pedagang) dan nama Binance tidak ada di dalamnya.
“Binance juga dihentikan oleh SWI dan diumumkan dalam siaran pers tertanggal 27 Oktober 2020. Ini dilakukan untuk melindungi masyarakat sebab platform tersebut melakukan kegiatan pertukaran aset digital tanpa adanya izin,” tukas Tongam.

Dikatakan, SWI juga telah memanggil pengurus dan pendacar Binance di Jakarta. Pertemuan itu menyepakati menghentikan kegiatan Binance hingga platform mengantongi izin.
“Binance di Indonesia masuk daftar investasi ilegal pada bulan Oktober 2020, karena melakukan kegiatan perdagangan kripto tanpa izin. Satgas Waspada Investasi memanggil pengurus dan lawyer Binance di Jakarta dan disepakati untuk menghentikan kegiatan Binance di Indonesia sampai ada izin dari otoritas berwenang,” jelasnya.
Dia menambahkan jika kegiatan usaha di Indonesia diharuskan memiliki izin usaha dari instansi yang terkait. Termasuk juga Binance dalam hal ini. Sebelum Binance belum mengantongi izin dari instansi terkait, maka platfom itu tidak bisa beroperasi di dalam negeri. ***

To the extent that The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in Queen Elisabeth’s country has banned the operation of the Binance crypto marketplace.
In its report, the FCA stated that no other entity in the Binance Group holds any form of UK authorization, registration or license to conduct regulated activities in the UK.
The FCA statement also warned UK investors about the volatility of the crypto market. It is well known that cryptocurrency trading is not directly regulated in the UK. However, other related activities, such as selling derivatives, still require the approval of local financial authorities.
“Be careful of online advertisements and on social media that promise high returns on investments in crypto assets,” the FCA added, issuing its warning, as reported by CNBC Indonesia, Monday, June 28, 2021.
Binance’s crypto asset trading platform is claimed to be the largest in the world. However, it has not been officially registered in Indonesia. Confirmed by the Chairman of the Investment Alert Task Force (SWI) of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Tongam L Tobing stated, according to the information listed on the CoFTRA website, as of February 18, 2021, there were only 13 companies included in the List of Crypto Asset Trading Companies Registered with CoFTRA ( prospective traders) and the Binance name is not on it.
“Binance was also terminated by SWI and announced in a press release dated October 27, 2020. This was done to protect the public because the platform carried out digital asset exchange activities without a permit,” said Tongam.
It is said, SWI has also summoned Binance administrators and traders in Jakarta. The meeting agreed to stop Binance’s activities until the platform gets permission.
“Binance in Indonesia was listed as an illegal investment in October 2020, because it carried out crypto trading activities without a permit. The Investment Alert Task Force summoned Binance’s management and lawyers in Jakarta and it was agreed to stop Binance’s activities in Indonesia until permission from the competent authorities,” he explained.
He added that business activities in Indonesia are required to have a business license from the relevant agency. This includes Binance as well. Before Binance has not yet obtained a permit from the relevant agency, the platform cannot operate domestically. ***
