Kondisi saat ini, kata Arsula kepada awak media, sangat menakutkan seiring dengan terus meluasnya wabah Covid-19 di tanah air. “PPKM Darurat telah menimbulkan polemik di berbagai daerah. Kondisi saat ini tidak dapat dipastikan dan sangat riskan,” beber Arsula.

Menurut aktivis buruh dan pekerja ini, Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat telah membuat kalangan pekerja dan buruh resah. “Di kalangan K.SBSI sendiri topik PPKM Darurat menjadi pembahasan yang hangat. Karena PPKM ini menyangkut masa depan dan kelangsungan hidup orang banyak terkhusus bagi pekerja/buruh,” ucap Arsula.
K.SBSI menilai, penerapan PPKM Darurat yang berkepanjangan tidak akan tepat sasaran, untuk memperkecil penyebaran Covid-19 di Indonesia. Malahan akan membuat polemik sosial di tengah masyarakat dan melumpuhkan roda perekonomian bangsa.
Arsula berharap, pemerintah mengkaji ulang dan mengevaluasi penerapan PPKM Darurat yang berlaku hingga 20 Juli. “Jika PPKM Darurat banyak menuai polemik dan menyengsarakan masyarakat lebih baik dikaji dan dievaluasi. Jangan dipaksakan,” sebut putra daerah Sumatera Utara ini. ***
