33 Komoditas Pertanian Sumut Diekspor ke 37 Negara | OBROLANBISNIS.com — Gubernur Sumatera Utara (Sumut) Edy Rahmayadi melepas ekspor 33 jenis komoditas pertanian senilai Rp431,67 miliar ke 37 negara tujuan. Antara lain Kopi Biji, Minyak Sawit, Pinang, Bunga Krisan, Asam Potong, hingga ubi jalar beku.

Berbagai jenis komoditas pertanian yang diekspor tersebut di antaranya berasal dari 13 kabupaten/kota di Sumut. Selanjutnya, Gubernur Edy Rahmayadi akan mendorong seluruh kabupaten/kota untuk mengoptimalkan potensinya wilayahnya sehingga bisa melakukan ekspor juga.

“Ini baru 13 kabupaten/kota yang ikut, nanti ke depan seluruh 33 kabupaten/kota harus kita dorong memaksimalkan potensi wilayahnya, ” kata Gubernur, usai melepas ekspor komoditas Sumut pada kegiatan ‘Merdeka Eskpor’ di Terminal Peti Kemas, Pelabuhan Belawan, Medan, Sabtu, 14 Agustus 2021.



Gubernur juga menyampaikan, ekspor Sumut terus meningkat di tengah pandemi Covid-19. Nilai ekspor Sumut dari Januari – Juni 2021 naik 43,33% dibanding periode yang sama tahun lalu. Dengan mengoptimalkan seluruh potensi kabupaten/kota, ke depan ekspor tersebut bisa terus meningkat hingga 90%.

“Dengan meningkatnya ekspor, pertumbuhan ekonomi juga diharapkan akan meningkat pula, jika sudah begitu, pembangunan untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat di Sumut segera selesai,” kata Edy Rahmayadi.

Edy juga optimis, peningkatan ekspor tersebut bisa dicapai, dengan potensi wilayah Sumut yang begitu banyak. Sumut juga memiliki kontur wilayah yang beragam, sehingga memungkinkan meningkatkan produksi pertanian, peternakan, perikanan dan lainnya.

“Dengan beragamnya dan banyaknya potensi Sumut ini, kita yakin kita bisa (tingkatkan ekspor), ” ujarnya.

Berdasarkan data dari Balai Karantina Pertanian Belawan, komoditas yang di ekspor pada kesempatan tersebut di antaranya kopi biji 1.668 ton, minyak sawit 14.198 ton, pinang 1.336 ton, bunga krisan 88.000 batang, asam potong 60 ton, durian beku 51,9 ton, kulit manis 64,5 ton dan cengkeh 8,5 ton, bungkil tongkol jagung 142 ton, dan daun cincau 51 ton.
