Mahasiswa Institut Bisnis IT&B Jawara Lomba Debat SOVED 2021 | OBROLANBISNIS.com — Tim Debat Bahasa Inggris Institut Bisnis IT&B kembali mengharumkan nama almamater dengan menggapai Juara 1 dan 2 dalam ajang lomba debat Sumatera Overland Varsities English Debate (SOVED) 2021, yang diselenggarakan secara daring oleh kolaborasi UP Pusat Bahasa UNIMED dan It Matters Institute bertemakan “Unleash Your Inner Potential,” 20-22 Agustus 2021.
Sumatera Overland Varsities English Debate (SOVED) 2021 merupakan kompetisi debat bahasa inggris yang paling bergengsi di Sumatera. Ajang ini diikuti oleh mahasiswa berprestasi dari sebanyak 25 Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PTN) dan Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS) se-Sumatera.
Beberapa diantaranya, Universitas Lampung, Universitas Negeri Padang, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Universitas Putra Indonesia YPTK, Universitas Andalas, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Politeknik Sriwijaya, dan masih banyak universitas lainnya.
Institut Bisnis IT&B mengirimkan 2 tim perwakilan untuk bersaing di ajang tersebut. Sungguh membanggakan karena kedua tim yang dikirimkan semuanya berhasil menorehkan prestasi, yaitu IB IT&B B sebagai Juara 1 yang diwakilkan oleh Randy Rentanaka dan Viviella Garcia, sedangkan IB IT&B A sebagai Juara 2 yang diwakilkan oleh Nico Fernando Tan dan Clara Jesica.
Selain itu, mereka juga berhasil meraih prestasi individu yang luar biasa sebagai pembicara terbaik. Diantaranya, Clara Jesica sebagai Overall Best Speaker, Randy Rentanaka sebagai 2nd Best Speaker sekaligus Grand Final Best Speaker, Nico Fernando Tan sebagai Co-7th Best Speaker, dan Viviella Garcia sebagai Co-5th Best Speaker SOVED 2021.
Tentunya prestasi ini dipersembahkan sepenuhnya atas nama Institut Bisnis IT&B yang telah melatarbelakangi segala pelatihan dan fasilitas yang mumpuni, sehingga mahasiswa dapat terus mengasah kemampuan secara kritis.

IT&B Business Institute Students Win the 2021 SOVED Debate Competition | OBROLANBISNIS.com — The IT&B Business Institute English Debate Team once again made the alma mater proud by winning 1st and 2nd place in the 2021 Sumatra Overland Varsities English Debate (SOVED) debate competition, which was held online in collaboration with UNIMED Language Center UP and It Matters Institute themed “Unleash Your Inner Potential,” August 20-22, 2021.
Sumatra Overland Varsities English Debate (SOVED) 2021 is the most prestigious English debate competition in Sumatra. This event was attended by outstanding students from as many as 25 State Universities (PTN) and Private Universities (PTS) throughout Sumatra.
Some of them are Lampung University, Padang State University, North Sumatra University, Putra Indonesia University YPTK, Andalas University, Syiah Kuala University, Sriwijaya Polytechnic, and many other universities.
The IT&B Business Institute sent 2 representative teams to compete in the event. It’s really proud because the two teams that were sent all managed to make achievements, namely IB IT&B B as 1st Place, represented by Randy Rentanaka and Viviella Garcia, while IB IT&B A as 2nd Place, represented by Nico Fernando Tan and Clara Jesica.
In addition, they also managed to achieve extraordinary individual achievements as the best speakers. Among them, Clara Jesica as Overall Best Speaker, Randy Rentanaka as 2nd Best Speaker as well as Grand Final Best Speaker, Nico Fernando Tan as Co-7th Best Speaker, and Viviella Garcia as Co-5th Best Speaker SOVED 2021.
Of course, this achievement is fully presented on behalf of the IT&B Business Institute which has provided the background for all the training and qualified facilities, so that students can continue to hone their skills critically.
By getting the champion on this occasion, it is hoped that it can be a race, motivation, and experience to achieve higher achievements and become the pride of the IT&B Business Institute.
