Melalui dana CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), PT Pegadaian (Persero) Kanwil I Medan menyalurkan sebanyak 200 paket sembako terdiri dari beras 5 Kg; Gula 1 Kg; Minyak Goreng 1 liter; Satu Kaleng Susu; Satu Bubuk Teh; Satu Kaleng Sarden; dan Mie Instan.

Penyaluran paket sembako dilakukan di tiga lokasi, yakni Lingkungan IV Kelurahan Rengas Pulau Kecamatan Medan Marelan, Kelurahan Binjei Kecamatan Medan Denai Kota Medan serta di Kota Binjai, Selasa, 7 September 2021.

Menurut Deputi Operasional PT Pegadaian (Persero) Kanwil I Medan, I Ketut Suarnawa, pandemi di tanah air belum berakhir, untuk itu Pemerintah sedang menggalakan seluruh elemen untuk membantu masyarakat yang terdampak pandemi.

“Kegiatan CSR Pegadaian Medan merupakan bukti upaya perusahaan BUMN untuk membantu pemerintah dalam membantu masyarakat yang terdampak pandemi melalui penyaluran paket sembako,” ujar Ketut.

Apalagi, tambah Ketut, Gubernur Sumut telah mengimbau seluruh stakeholder dan juga BUMN untuk melaksanakan ‘Gerakan Memberikan Bantuan Sosial’ kepada masyarakat terdampak Covid-19.

Sementara itu, Nurul Asniar, Kepala Bagian PKBL PT Pegadaian (Persero) Kanwil I Medan disela pembagian paket sembako mengatakan, aksi CSR ini merupakan bagian dari program Bina Lingkungan Pegadaian Medan.

“Ada tiga lokasi sasaran pembagian sembako. Sebanyak 200 paket disebar di Kecamatan Medan Marelan; Kecamatan Medan Denai Kota Medan; dan Kota Binjai. Hari ini semua paket sembako telah disalurkan kepada masyarakat yang terdampak pandemi,” ungkap Nurul, sapaan akrabnya didampingi Kepala Bagian Humas dan Protokoler PT Pegadaian (Persero) Kanwil I Medan, Gopher Manurung.

Masyarakat yang menerima sembako ini rata-rata berasal dari keluarga berekonomi rendah. “Kita fokuskan pemberian sembako pada masyarakat yang kurang mampu dalam segi ekonominya. Mudah-mudahan sembako ini bermanfaat bagi masyarakat,” sebut Nurul.

 



Mewakili masyarakat, Ilham Nasution selaku Kepala Lingkungan IV Kelurahan Rengas Pulau Kecamatan Medan Marelan, mengucapkan terimakasih atas pemberian sembako bagi masyarakat yang terdampak pandemi.

“Rata-rata ekonomi masyarakat kita menengah ke bawah. Dan dominan berprofesi sebagai nelayan yang menjadi sumber mata pencahariannya,” ujar Ilham. ***

“There are three target locations for distributing basic necessities. A total of 200 packages were distributed in Medan Marelan District; Medan Denai District, Medan City; and Binjai City.
