APINDO Cares for Vaccines Targets Vaccination of 20 Thousand Workers in North Sumatra

APINDO Deliserdang: Enough Worker Interest | OBROLANBISNIS.com — The DPP of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO) of North Sumatra Province (Sumut) has vaccinated against Covid-19 for thousands of workers.

The implementation of the APINDO Vaccine Care program in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and ABUJAPI took place from 25 – 29 September 2021, in Tebing Tinggi City, Medan City and Deliserdang Regency.

Today, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, the APINDOSU Cares for Vaccines program is carried out in Patumbak District, Deliserdang Regency, precisely the warehouse area belonging to PT Eramas Coconut Industries, attended by North Sumatra APINDO management, Deliserdang Apindo Management, OJK Regional 5 Sumbagut representatives, North Sumatra Health Service, Manpower Service Deliserdang Regency and Muspika Patumbak District.

According to the Deputy Secretary of North Sumatra APINDO, Perry Iskandar, this vaccination program was held in an effort to assist the government in accelerating the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to the public.

“This time the targets are workers and their families who are part of APINDO members. This vaccine program has been carried out in three cities, namely Medan, Deliserdang and Tebingtinggi. Around 6,000 workers have been injected with the Covid-19 vaccine,” said Perry Iskandar accompanied by North Sumatra APINDO Treasurer Dr Martono Anggusti, Julius, Hendra Anggada and Apindo Deliserdang Managers Nafril and Indra.

The provision of this vaccine, continued Perry, given free of charge, is an initiative of APINDO North Sumatra as the support of business actors to the government in handling Covid-19 in collaboration with OJK and Abujapi.

“The APINDO Cares Vaccine Program will continue until the end of 2021. The discourse will continue to Asahan, Batubara and Labuhanbatu Raya Regencies. Our target (APINDO) is to vaccinate 20,000 workers and their families in North Sumatra (North Sumatra),” added the Treasurer of APINDO North Sumatra, Dr Martono Anggusti while grateful for the support of OJK and the Association of Indonesian Security Service Business Entities (Abujapi).

Indra Siregar as Deputy Chairman of APINDO Deliserdang explained, there were around 26 companies registered to participate in this vaccination.

“The company sent a number of workers to the warehouse of PT Eramas Coconut Industries. The implementation was carried out by prioritizing prokes by dividing the vaccine injection schedule, so that there was no mass accumulation. Alhamdulillah, the implementation was orderly and safe,” he said.

According to Indra, the data of participants who took part in the vaccine in Patumbak District temporarily amounted to 1,420 people. “APINDO Deliserdang as the host is grateful and sees the enthusiasm of workers participating in this vaccine program is very large,” said the Deputy Chairman of APINDO.

North Sumatra APINDO Appreciation

Meanwhile, Deputy Director of OJK Regional 5 Sumbagut, Andi Muhammad Yusuf appreciated the APINDO Cares Vaccine program movement, by gathering thousands of workers and families to be given the Covid-19 vaccine.

OJK as a government institution not only supervises financial and non-financial institutions, but also plays a role in inviting all levels of society to succeed in accelerating the vaccination program for the community.

As is known, North Sumatra is still at level 3 in the spread of Covid-19. “With this vaccination, it is hoped that the status of the Covid-19 level will decrease in North Sumatra. The government cannot work alone, but needs synergy from various parties to decide the spread of this pandemic,” he said.

The head of the North Sumatra Health Service (Kadinkes), drg Ismail Lubis added, without collaboration the pandemic would not be completed. “Collaboration like this is what the government really needs in the success of the vaccination program. Let’s invite our families to participate in the vaccine,” said Ismail.

Kadinkes play a role, even though the community has been vaccinated, they must continue to apply health protocols, such as continuing to use masks to protect themselves and those around them.

The Head of the Deliserdang Manpower Office, Binsar Sitanggang, said, make this vaccine program the main bulwark in self-protection.

“The vaccination step taken by APINDO deserves appreciation. Not many companies participate in vaccinating their workers,” said Binsar, who was present to represent the Regent of Deliserdang. ***
