Adalah pembuatan sabun pembersih tangan, yang menjadi pilihan Program Studi Kewirausahaan untuk membekali jiwa berwirausaha mahasiswa-mahasiswi sejak dini.
Dalam kegiatan workshop yang berlangsung di Kampus Institut Bisnis IT&B Jalan Mahoni Medan, mahasiswa Program Studi Kewirausahaan diberi berbagai pelatihan baik teori maupun praktek secara langsung dalam pembuatan sabun.
Dengan pelatihan yang diberikan oleh para professional di bidangnya, diharapkan kelak para mahasiswa Intistut Bisnis IT&B mendapatkan bekal yang mumpuni untuk terjun ke masyarakat luas.
Mahasiswa dikenalkan dan dilatihan dalam memproduksi sabun dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan natural yang tidak berbahaya bagi kulit.

“Pelatihan yang diberikan Program Studi Kewirausahaan merupakan peluang di masa pandemi. Seperti kita ketahui, sabun merupakan salah satu benda wajib yang perlu digunakan untuk menangkal penyebaran virus Covid-19. Peluang ini harus digali oleh mahasiswa untuk memulai usaha ini,” sebut Dr. Agus Susanto Tan sebagai Managing Director dari IB IT&B.
Menurut Dr Agus, kegiatan ini sangat membantu mahasiswa sebagai langkah awal mereka untuk menjadi seorang wirausaha yang sukses di masa mendatang.
Ketua Program Studi Kewirausahaan, Dr Ika Puspa S menambahkan, kegiatan ini sangat penting bagi mahasiswa Kewirausahaan, agar memperoleh kompetensi yang diperlukan mahasiswa.
Pembuatan sabun cuci tangan ini bekerjasama dengan salah satu wirausaha muda yang terkenal di Kota Medan. “Institut Bisnis IT&B menggandeng wirausaha muda bernama Josephine Tantraatmaja yang telah meniti usaha sabun dengan brand Peonies Soapery, yang juga merupakan lulusan STIE Institut Bisnis IT&B angkatan 2012/2013,” beber Puspa.

Workshop tersebut berlangsung selama 3 jam, di mana mahasiswa membuat sabun dari bahan-bahan dasar sampai menjadi sabun yang siap dipakai dengan menggunakan kreasi dan ide mahasiswa sendiri, sehingga mahasiswa juga diajarkan untuk memiliki creative thinking.
Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini tetap mengikuti protocol Kesehatan sehingga membatasi jumlah peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan dan setiap peserta diharuskan memakai masker. ***
Business Opportunities During a Pandemic | IT&B Business Institute Students Trained to Make Soap | OBROLANBISNIS.com — The IT&B Business Institute’s Entrepreneurship Study Program spawns creative ideas for its students. It is the manufacture of hand sanitizer, which is the choice of the Entrepreneurship Study Program to equip the entrepreneurial spirit of students from an early age.
In the workshop which took place at the IT&B Business Institute Campus, Jalan Mahoni, Medan, students of the Entrepreneurship Study Program were given various trainings, both theoretical and practical in soap making.
With the training provided by professionals in their fields, it is hoped that in the future the IT&B Business Institute students will have the necessary skills to enter the wider community.
Students are introduced and trained in producing soap using natural ingredients that are not harmful to the skin.
“The training provided by the Entrepreneurship Study Program is an opportunity during a pandemic. As we know, soap is one of the mandatory items that need to be used to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. This opportunity must be explored by students to start this business,” said Dr. Agus Susanto Tan as Managing Director of IB IT&B.
According to Dr Agus, this activity is very helpful for students as their first step to become a successful entrepreneur in the future.
The Head of the Entrepreneurship Study Program, Dr Ika Puspa S added, this activity is very important for Entrepreneurship students, in order to obtain the competencies needed by students.
Making hand soap is in collaboration with one of the well-known young entrepreneurs in Medan City. “The IT&B Business Institute collaborates with a young entrepreneur named Josephine Tantraatmaja who has started a soap business with the Peonies Soapery brand, who is also a graduate of STIE IT&B Business Institute class 2012/2013,” explained Puspa.
The workshop lasted for 3 hours, where students made soap from basic ingredients to become ready-to-use soap using their own creations and ideas, so that students were also taught to have creative thinking.
The implementation of this activity still follows the Health protocol so that it limits the number of participants who take part in the activity and each participant is required to wear a mask. ***
