50.000 Liters of Migor Sold by Asian Agri – Apical Group for 14 thousand/liter for Villagers | OBROLANBISNIS.com — As a form of support for the government’s program to ease the burden on the community due to soaring prices for basic necessities such as cooking oil ahead of Christmas and New Years, Asian Agri and the Apical Group through PT Asianagro Agungjaya (PT AAJ), one of the sustainable palm oil processors, allocated 50,000 liters of 1 liter packaged cooking oil for the cooking oil market operation program in several village points around the company’s operational areas in three provinces: North Sumatra, Riau and Jambi.

Asian Agri’s Director of Sustainability and Stakeholder Relations, Bernard A. Riedo, stated that this program is a commitment of Asian Agri together with PT AAJ in providing real benefits to the community.

As is known, cooking oil is one of the components of nine basic ingredients that are needed by the community.

“In line with the Indonesian Ministry of Trade’s program in carrying out cooking oil market operations, Asian Agri and PT AAJ agreed to hold cooking oil market operations for rural residents with middle to lower economic levels. We hope that the market operations that we organize in these villages can help reduce the expenditure of housewives,” said Bernard.

“The price of cooking oil offered at the Asian Agri and PT AAJ market operations is only Rp. 14,000/liter, which is much cheaper than the price of cooking oil on the market,” said Bernard.

Bernard added, with the operation of this cooking oil market, villagers can get quality cooking oil at affordable prices.

“As we know, rural areas are generally far from big markets. Even if there is a price, it will definitely be higher than the price of cooking oil that we will sell in market operations. Therefore, the momentum of this cooking oil market can be utilized by villagers who need cooking oil. In its implementation, the company also continues to apply strict health protocols. Where the purchase of these migrants must use a coupon that has been distributed to residents in advance. The coupon has also been arranged for a purchase schedule. This is to avoid crowds of residents, “he said.

According to Bernard, the operation of the cooking oil market is scheduled to be carried out simultaneously starting on December 23, 2021.

“The operation of the cooking oil market is scheduled to be carried out simultaneously on Thursday, December 23, 2021 in villages surrounding Asian Agri’s operations in the provinces of North Sumatra, Riau and Jambi. We estimate that a total of 50,000 liters of cooking oil will be sold within a week. ahead,” Bernard added.

In North Sumatra, the Cheap Cooking Oil Market has been held simultaneously, one of which was carried out at the Perlabian Village Office, Kampung Rakyat District, Labusel Regency on December 23, 2021.

The Labusel Regency Government also appreciates the market operations carried out by Asian Agri. Where the operation of the cooking oil market was opened directly by the Regent of South Labuhan Batu, H. Edimin.

He appreciates the company’s concern, and hopes that the company will continue to care for the residents, both through activities like this.

“Thank you for the market operation Asian Agri carried out today. People really need it, especially during the pandemic and the high price of cooking oil on the market. Because this will really help people. The more you give, the more you receive/if the community, especially the poor, has been assisted, then all matters will be facilitated by the Almighty,” said H. Edimin when giving a speech at the cooking oil market operation at the Perlabian Village Office, Kampung Rakyat Subdistrict, Labusel Regency.

The management of Asian Agri, in this case the Regional Controller of Asian Agri for the North Sumatra Region, Hadi Wijaya is also grateful for the support from the Labusel Regency government which has contributed to the successful operation of the cooking oil market.

He hopes that this activity can be felt by the community.
“First of all, we are very grateful for the support from the Labusel Regency Government and all its staff to contribute to the success of the cooking oil market operation in Perlabian Village and Tanjung Selamat Village. The Cooking Oil Market Operation today, is part of the cooking oil market operations carried out simultaneously by Asian Agri in North Sumatra, Riau and Jambi.
