Sambut Imlek 2573 | Perkumpulan Teochew Bersatu Medan-Sumut Bagikan Kue Bakul dan 200 Paket Sembako | OBROLANBISNIS.com — Dalam rangka menyambut perayaan Imlek 2573/tahun 2022, Perkumpulan Teochew Bersatu Medan-Sumut mengadakan kegiatan bakti sosial di gedung Yayasan Tio Ciu Jalan Gandhi, Sei Rengas II, Kecamatan Medan Area, Sabtu, 22 Januari 2022.
Kegiatan bakti sosial tersebut tetap mengutamakan protokol kesehatan, dengan sasaran pembagian sembako untuk 200 masyarakat sekitar.
Bakti sosial dalam rangka memeriahkan Imlek, dihadiri oleh Ketua Perkumpulan Teochew Bersatu Sumatera Utara, Teh Kia Tjoh dan Ketua Perkumpulan Teochew Bersatu Medan, Dr Agus Susanto Tan dan sejumlah pengurus lainnya.
Menurut Ketua Perkumpulan Teochew Bersatu Medan, Dr Agus Susanto Tan menyatakan, kegiatan ini tujuannya untuk membagikan kebahagiaan kepada masyarakat yang merayakan hari raya Imlek.

“Ada sekitar 200 sembako berisikan beras, minyak, mie instan, kecap, saos dan kue bakul atau kue keranjang yang akan dibagikan ke masyarakat,” ucapnya.
Dikatakan Agus, pembagian kue bakul atau keranjang adalah tradisi di hari raya Imlek, yang memiliki makna keberuntungan.
“Kita bagi kue bakul ini dengan harapan perayaan imlek tahun ini bisa membawa keberuntungan, kekompakan untuk kita maupun masyarakat lainnya,” terangnya.
Pembagian sembako ini, lanjut Agus, merupakan kegiatan rutin yang kerap dilakukan oleh Perkumpulan Teochew Bersatu di Sumut maupun Kota Medan.
“Kegiatan bakti sosial di Perkumpulan Toechew sudah sering dilakukan, bukan hanya di momen Imlek saja, melainkan setiap tahun itu pada hari-hari besar keagamaan kita rutin membagikan sembako dan berbagai kegiatan lainnya,” jelasnya.

Tak hanya itu, bakti sosial berupa bedah rumah warga yang tidak layak huni dan berbagai musibah besar seperti banjir beberapa waktu lalu di Medan, Perkumpulan Teochew hadir di tengah masyarakat.
“Kita (Teochew) sering mengadakan kegiatan sosial dengan mengajak dan bekerjasama dengan komunitas bahkan instansi pemerintah,” jelasnya.
Dr Agus berharap, agar kegiatan pembagian 200 sembako ini berjalan lancar dan tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan. “Kita mengadakan kegiatan ini dengan cepat agar tidak terjadi kerumunan. Mudah-mudahan bantuan ini bisa membantu para masyarakat pra sejahtera di sekitar daerah ini,” ucapnya. ***

These social service activities still prioritize health protocols, with the target of distributing basic necessities to 200 surrounding communities.
The social service in order to enliven the Chinese New Year, was attended by the Chairman of the United Teochew Association of North Sumatra, Teh Kia Tjoh and the Chairman of the United Teochew Association of Medan, Dr Agus Susanto Tan and a number of other administrators.
According to the Head of the United Teochew Association of Medan, Dr Agus Susanto Tan, the aim of this activity is to share happiness with people who celebrate Chinese New Year.
“There are about 200 basic necessities containing rice, oil, instant noodles, soy sauce, sauce and basket cakes or basket cakes that will be distributed to the public,” he said.
Agus said the distribution of basket cakes or baskets is a tradition on Chinese New Year, which means good luck.
“We share this basket of cakes with the hope that this year’s Chinese New Year celebration can bring good luck, solidarity for us and other people,” he explained.
This food distribution, Agus continued, is a routine activity that is often carried out by the United Teochew Association in North Sumatra and Medan City.
“Social service activities at the Toechew Association have often been carried out, not only during the Chinese New Year, but every year on religious holidays we routinely distribute basic necessities and various other activities,” he explained.
Not only that, social services in the form of repairing houses that are not suitable for habitation and various major disasters such as the recent flood in Medan, the Teochew Association is present in the community.
“We (Teochew) often hold social activities by inviting and collaborating with communities and even government agencies,” he explained.
Dr Agus hopes that the distribution of 200 basic necessities will run smoothly and adhere to health protocols. “We are holding this activity quickly so that there are no crowds. Hopefully this assistance can help the underprivileged communities around this area,” he said. ***
