Hal tersebut disampaikan Menteri Perdagangan Muhammad Lutfi, Menteri Investasi/Kepala BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, dan Menteri Perindustrian Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita pada Konferensi Pers Bersama “Inaugurasi G20 TIIWG” secara hibrida di Jakarta, Selasa, 8 Februari 2022.
Penyelenggaraan Pertemuan G20 TIIWG yang akan dipimpin Kemendag mengusung tema ‘Aligning Trade, Investment, and Industry Agenda with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’.

“Kemendag berkomitmen dalam mendukung penuh Presidensi G20 Indonesia agar G20 menjadi katalis pemulihan ekonomi global dengan mengedepankan kemitraan dan inklusivitas serta memberikan dampak nyata bagi masyarakat global dan nasional. Pertemuan ini mengangkat enam isu prioritas, yaitu WTO Reform; the Role of Multilateral Trading System to Strengthen the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals; Trade, Investment, and Industry Response to the Pandemic and Global Health Architecture; Digital Trade and Sustainable Global Value Chains; Spurring Sustainable Investment for Global Economic Recovery; dan Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization via Industry 4.0.
Pembahasan isu-isu tersebut diharapkan dapat memberikan hasil konkret melalui kesepakatan tingkat Menteri yang sejalan dengan tiga deliverables utama Presidensi G20 Indonesia yaitu Arsitektur Kesehatan Global, Transformasi Ekonomi Digital, dan Transisi Energi.
Melalui keenam isu tersebut, Indonesia akan memastikan agenda dan kebijakan perdagangan, investasi, dan industri bagi pencapaian SDGs. SDGs menjadi pondasi yang tidak terpisahkan dari proses agenda perubahan kebijakan tiga sektor tersebut dalam mencapai pembangunan berkelanjutan yang sejahtera, merata, dan adil, baik negara maju maupun berkembang.

Kemendag akan memastikan kepentingan bersama ini dapat diterima seluruh delegasi G20 dan disepakati

Melalui G20 TIIWG ini, lanjut Mendag Lutfi, Kemendag menekankan narasi tersebut sebagai tanggung jawab bersama untuk pemulihan ekonomi. Kemendag akan mendiskusikan kepentingan ini dengan seluruh negara anggota, pemangku kepentingan, dan organisasi internasional bahwa isu ini merupakan isu penting dan mendesak.

“Indonesia harus ada di posisi terdepan untuk bagaimana dalam memainkan perannya mendorong green energy. Kita mempunyai sumber daya alam yang sangat luar biasa,” ujar Menteri Investasi/Kepala BKPM Bahlil.

Lebih lanjut, Menteri Investasi/Kepala BKPM Bahlil menekankan kembali agar setiap investasi yang masuk bermanfaat bagi pengusaha di daerah, dengan adanya keterlibatan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM).
Melalui momentum G20 ini, Kementerian Investasi/BKPM akan terus mendorong terwujudnya kolaborasi yang positif antara investor dengan pengusaha nasional di daerah, termasuk UMKM. Sedangkan Menteri Perindustrian Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita menyampaikan, G20 TIIWG akan menjadi sejarah karena untuk pertama kalinya isu industri dibahas secara khusus dalam penyelenggaraan G20.
Hal ini merupakan prakarsa Pemerintah Indonesia untuk menambahkan nomenklatur industri dalam TIIWG.
Menteri Perindustrian Agus menambahkan, untuk memanfaatkan momentum ini, Pemerintah Indonesia akan mendorong kolaborasi negara-negara G20 dalam melakukan terobosan dan aksi nyata pada sektor perdagangan, investasi, dan industri guna berkontribusi lebih besar bagi pemulihan ekonomi global.
Pertemuan G20 TIIWG akan dibuka dengan keindahan budaya dan keelokan warisan tradisi Indonesia di Kota Solo yang tetap terawat dan mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan zaman dan teknologi.
“Solo akan menampilkan pencapaian Indonesia dalam pengembangan sektor industri dan mengajak negara-negara G20 berkolaborasi dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mencapai industri yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan, untuk pulih bersama dan pulih lebih kuat,” papar Menperin.

Secara resmi Presidensi G20 Indonesia dimulai pada 1 Desember 2021 sampai dengan serah terima presidensi berikutnya pada Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) akhir tahun 2022 mendatang.
Sebelumnya, penetapan Indonesia memegang Presidensi G20 dilakukan pada Riyadh Summit 2020. Sementara itu, serah terima Presidensi G20 dari Italia ke Indonesia dilakukan pada 31 Oktober 2021 di Roma, Italia.
