“Dengan ketangguhan itu, ekspor produk kerajinan Indonesia terus tumbuh positif di tengah pandemi,” sebut Mendag Lutfi saat mendampingi Presiden Joko Widodo saat membuka The 22nd Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft) 2022 pada Rabu, 23 Maret 2022, di Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta.

Mendag Lutfi menjelaskan, selama dua tahun pandemi, yaitu tahun 2020 dan 2021, nilai ekspor produk kerajinan Indonesia tetap mencatatkan pertumbuhan positif.

“Pada 2021 ekspor produk kerajinan tangan Indonesia mencapai USD 743,50 juta atau tumbuh 16,48 persen tahun per tahun (YoY). Sedangkan pada 2020 nilainya mencapai USD 638,33 juta. Ini menunjukkan produk kerajinan tangan Indonesia tangguh dan adaptif menghadapi masa pandemi Covid-19,” ungkap Mendag Lutfi.

Ekspor produk kerajinan Indonesia memiliki pangsa yang besar di Amerika Serikat yaitu 58,89 persen, Malaysia (7,54 persen), Belanda (3,86 persen), Jepang (3,70 persen), dan Jerman (3,64 persen). Produk Indonesia yang paling diminati dunia yaitu rambut palsu, produk anyaman, produk kayu, serta patung dan ornamennya.

Setelah dua tahun vakum (2020-2021) akibat pandemi Covid-19, Inacraft 2022 kembali diselenggarakan pada 23–27 Maret 2022 secara daring dan luring. “Penyelenggaraan Inacraft yang sudah memasuki tahun ke-22 merupakan bukti nyata bahwa produk kerajinan Indonesia terus tumbuh dan berkembang,” ujar Mendag Lutfi.

Inacraft 2022 mengusung tema “Smiling Heritage of West Java: From Smart Village to Global Market”. Provinsi Jawa Barat terpilih menjadi ikon Inacraft 2022 yang menampilkan produk-produk kerajinan unggulan dan kreatif sekaligus mengangkat kesenian dan kebudayaan lokal Jawa Barat.
