Wali Kota Kota Bogor, Bima Arya mengatakan, Pemkot Bogor turut berupaya menyeimbangkan jika harga bapok mulai naik.

Harga Bapok Relatif Stabil

Per 8 April 2022, cabai merah keriting turun 2,50 persen, cabai rawit merah turun 12,15 persen, bawang merah turun 7,05 persen. Tren penurunan diprediksi masih akan terus terjadi sepanjang April hingga Mei mengingat berbagai sentra produksi sedang panen raya. ***

People Don’t Worry | Government Guarantees Availability of Bapok Supply | OBROLANBISNIS.com — Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga ensures that the availability and prices of basic goods ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1443 H/2022 are safe and under control.

According to the Vice Minister of Trade, Jerry, as is currently happening in Bogor City, West Java, despite the high prices, there is no difficulty in getting goods. In addition, public demand for basic necessities is considered to be still under control.

“The government is currently focused on ensuring the continuity of supply and stock for the community. Regarding prices, it is reported that the increase in Bapok commodities is still within reasonable limits because there is an increase in demand during Ramadan. However, so far the stock is still available,” said the Deputy Minister, Tuesday, 12 April 2022, after reviewing the market in Bogor City.

Vice Minister of Trade Jerry asked the public not to worry because the government guarantees adequate stock and supply of bapok. The average endurance period of the bapok is more than a month and is maintained continuously. Thus, it is ensured to be sufficient for the needs of Ramadan and Eid 2022/1443 H.

The Ministry of Trade collaborates with the National Food Agency (Bapanas) to ensure the adequacy of the government’s food reserves and optimize the distribution of basic necessities through the assignment of Bulog and ID Food.

“Hopefully the community can solemnly carry out fasting and celebrate Eid and meet basic needs with good availability and reasonable prices,” he hoped.

The Vice Minister of Trade, Jerry emphasized that the government has taken various steps, both coordinating and fundamental policy interventions.

Several steps taken by the Ministry of Trade include monitoring prices through the Market Monitoring System and Basic Needs (SP2KP) within the framework of an early warning system, strengthening synergy and coordination with all relevant agencies, cooperation with business actors, monitoring the smooth distribution of goods and services. , and conducting market operations in various regions

“The Minister of Trade, myself, and all levels of the Ministry of Trade came to the market as evidence of the seriousness of the Ministry of Trade in overseeing price stability and supply of bapok during Ramadan and overcoming problems that occur in the field,” said the Wemendag.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Commission VI DPR RI M Sarmuji said, from today’s monitoring results, bapok prices are stable and supply to the people’s market is sufficient, except for wheat which has increased. Even if there is a commodity whose price is slightly higher, it is volatile and the price is still within reasonable limits and can be reached. “It is hoped that this condition will continue until the end of the new year,” he said.

Sarmuji asked Bulog, the central government, and local governments to go to the markets to ensure that stock availability during Ramadan and ahead of Eid 2022 is safe. “Check, ask the merchant directly, whether the items needed are there or not,” he said.

The Mayor of Bogor City, Bima Arya said, the Bogor City Government is also trying to balance if the price of bapok starts to rise. So far, the availability of bapok is in a safe condition and the price is also considered to be within reasonable limits. “We will continue to maintain stock to minimize it so that the stock is not empty. If the goods are not available, the price can rise,” he concluded.

The Price of Bapok is Relatively Stable

Bapok stocks are available ahead of Ramadan based on the results of monitoring in people’s markets through the Market Monitoring System and Basic Needs (SP2KP) in 216 markets spread across 90 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia. Price developments up to D-20 Idul Fitri 2022, a number of Bapok needs in general are relatively stable.

The price of rice was monitored stable at around Rp. 10,500/kg for medium and Rp. 12,400/kg for premium. Rice is projected to have a stock hold of up to 10.5 months.

Meanwhile, the price of sugar is around Rp. 14,600/kg, up 3.55 percent compared to last month and up 12.31 percent compared to last year’s Eid period. The government has relaxed the reference price for granulated sugar at the retail level to Rp13,500/kg.

Meanwhile in Eastern Indonesia, such as Maluku and Papua, a relaxation of the reference price was given of Rp. 14,000/kg for bulk granulated sugar and Rp. 14,500/kg for packaged granulated sugar.

Regarding soybeans, the government has intervened by assigning Bulog to run a program to compensate for the difference in the purchase price of soybeans of Rp1,000/kg at the level of tofu and tempeh craftsmen, sourced from the Food Price Stabilization Reserve (CSHP) budget.

Currently, tofu and tempeh craftsmen have begun to enjoy buying prices that are lower than the market economic price in order to maintain business continuity and selling prices at the consumer level.

In line with the trend of increasing demand for beef, broiler meat, and chicken eggs, the prices of these three commodities also recorded an increase. The government continues to make efforts to ensure the availability of beef, both through local cattle and accelerated imports of frozen meat.

The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that there were around 58,481 live cattle ready for slaughter spread across Sumatra, Banten and West Java. Meanwhile, the realization of frozen meat imports by Bulog has touched 20 thousand tons.

In an effort to control the price of eggs and chicken meat, the Ministry of Trade has assigned the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) to provide 50 thousand tons of fodder corn to help meet the needs of micro and small scale farmers.

Although horticultural commodities such as chilies and onions contributed to inflation in March 2022, it is predicted that there will be deflation in the period of Ramadan and Eid. As of April 8, 2022, curly red chilies fell 2.50 percent, red chili peppers fell 12.15 percent, red onions fell 7.05 percent. The downward trend is predicted to continue throughout April to May considering that various production centers are currently harvesting. ***
