Jandres Silalahi mengucapkan selamat menunaikan ibadah puasa bagi yang menjalankannya. “Jalinan silaturahmi yang seperti biasanya dilakukan TPL bersama insan media sempat terputus ketika pandemi Covid-19 menerpa negeri. Dan barulah di kesempatan bulan Ramadan ini kita dapat menyambung kembali hubungan silaturahmi ini,” ungkap Jandres Silalahi.

Ia menyampaikan bahwa PT Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk (TPL) adalah perusahaan global penghasil pulp yang berbahan baku pohon Eucalyptus. Konsesi hutan tanaman industri (HTI) yang dikelola oleh TPL seluas 167 ribu hektar.

Dalam kegiatannya, TPL tetap berkomitmen menjaga areal kawasan lindung, menjaga kawasan yang telah diokupasi masyarakat dan tetap memprioritaskan kemitraan bersama masyarakat di sekitar areal TPL yang ada di 12 kabupaten/kota Provinsi Sumatera Utara (Sumut).

“Dari 167 ribu hektar luasan yang diberikan pemerintah, baru 49 ribu hektar yang dikelola perusahaan. Tak hanya mengutamakan bisnis, TPL juga melakukan kemitraan dengan masyarakat. Bukti kontribusi nyata TPL dalam momen Ramadan ini adalah dengan mengajak para anak yatim piatu ikutserta berbuka bersama dengan para awak media.
