Mendag Lutfi Bertolak ke Swiss Hadiri Forum Ekonomi Dunia | OBROLANBISNIS.com — Menteri Perdagangan (Mendag), Muhammad Lutfi bertolak ke Davos, Swiss untuk menghadiri Forum Ekonomi Dunia (World Economic Forum/WEF). Pertemuan tahunan ini akan berlangsung pada 22-26 Mei 2022.
Mendag Lutfi dijadwalkan menghadiri sejumlah pertemuan termasuk dengan pelaku usaha global dari berbagai negara belahan dunia serta mempromosikan Presidensi G20 Indonesia.
Target Indonesia, forum ini dapat menemukan solusi atas berbagai masalah global yang sedang terjadi saat ini guna pemulihan ekonomi dunia.
Pertemuan tahunan WEF itu merupakan ajang bertemunya pemimpin dunia, pelaku bisnis, politisi, cendekia, dan media terpilih dari seluruh dunia. Dalam forum tersebut akan saling bertukar pandangan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan global sekaligus membuka peluang bisnis guna meningkatkan perdagangan dan investasi sebagai pendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi.
WEF 2022 mengangkat tema ‘History at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies’. Pertemuan tahunan ini bertepatan dengan momen geopolitik dan geoekonomi terpenting selama tiga dekade terakhir dan latar belakang pandemi dalam satu abad.

Sempat ditunda penyelenggaraannya pada 2021 akibat pandemi Covid-19, kini WEF 2022 kembali digelar. “Kunjungan kerja ke Swiss untuk menghadiri WEF 2022 merupakan salah satu upaya kita untuk meningkatkan kerjasama perdagangan Indonesia, tidak hanya dengan mitra kerja pemerintah, tetapi juga dengan pelaku usaha global. Melalui WEF 2022, kita juga berharap dapat menemukan solusi untuk berbagai tantangan global yang dihadapi seperti pandemi global, perang Rusia-Ukraina, guncangan geo-ekonomi, hinggaperubahan iklim,” ujar Mendag Lutfi.
Mendag Lutfi juga dijadwalkan menghadiri sejumlah agenda dan pertemuan. Di antaranya, menjadi panelis dan menyampaikan kata penutup pada sesi Country Strategy Dialogue on Indonesia.
Sejumlah isu yang akan dibahas pada Country Strategy Dialogue on Indonesia yaitu Presidensi G20 Indonesia; Trade, Investment, and Indsutry Working Group (TIIWG), Keketuaan Indonesia di ASEAN 2023; serta ekonomi digital ASEAN.
Selain itu, Mendag Lutfi dijadwalkan untuk menghadiri ajang Indonesia Night yang digelar Kementerian Koordinator Kemaritiman dan Investasi RI di sela agenda WEF 2022.
Indonesia akan menunjukkan keramahan dan prospek bisnis dengan menyajikan sejumlah tarian tradisional, lagu-lagu daerah, hidangan nusantara; serta menampilkan informasi perkembangan investasi di Indonesia.
Di akhir kunjungan kerjanya, Mendag Lutfi dijadwalkan menjadi panelis pada sesi Assessing the Role of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Trade Agreement.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Mendag akan membahas tentang Peran Persetujuan RCEP terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia, regional, dan dunia. ***
Trade Minister Lutfi Leaves for Switzerland to Attend World Economic Forum | OBROLANBISNIS.com — The Minister of Trade (Minister of Trade), Muhammad Lutfi went to Davos, Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF). This annual meeting will take place on 22-26 May 2022.
Trade Minister Lutfi is scheduled to attend a number of meetings, including with global business players from various countries around the world as well as promoting Indonesia’s G20 Presidency.
Indonesia’s target, this forum can find solutions to various global problems that are currently happening in order to recover the world economy.
The WEF annual meeting is a meeting place for selected world leaders, business people, politicians, scholars and media from around the world. The forum will exchange views to solve global problems as well as open up business opportunities to increase trade and investment as a driver of economic growth.
WEF 2022 has the theme ‘History at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies’. This annual meeting coincides with the most important geopolitical and geoeconomic moment of the past three decades and the backdrop of a century of pandemics.
It was postponed to 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, now WEF 2022 is being held again. “A working visit to Switzerland to attend WEF 2022 is one of our efforts to increase Indonesia’s trade cooperation, not only with government partners, but also with global business players. Through WEF 2022, we also hope to find solutions to various global challenges faced, such as the global pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine war, geo-economic shocks, and climate change,” said Trade Minister Lutfi.
Trade Minister Lutfi is also scheduled to attend a number of agendas and meetings. Among them, being a panelist and delivering closing remarks at the Country Strategy Dialogue on Indonesia session.
A number of issues that will be discussed at the Country Strategy Dialogue on Indonesia are the G20 Presidency of Indonesia; Trade, Investment, and Industry Working Group (TIIWG), Chair of Indonesia in ASEAN 2023; and the ASEAN digital economy.
In addition, Trade Minister Lutfi is scheduled to attend the Indonesia Night event held by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia on the sidelines of the WEF 2022 agenda.
Indonesia will show hospitality and business prospects by presenting a number of traditional dances, folk songs, Indonesian dishes; as well as displaying information on investment developments in Indonesia.
At the end of his working visit, Trade Minister Lutfi is scheduled to be a panelist at the Assessing the Role of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Trade Agreement session.
On this occasion, the Minister of Trade will discuss the role of the RCEP Agreement on economic growth in Indonesia, the region and the world. ***
