Wapres: Tanpa Riset dan Inovasi, Indonesia akan Kehilangan Peluang Ekspor Produk Halal | OBROLANBISNIS.com — Sektor makanan halal menarik untuk dicermati, karena dunia saat ini menghadapi persoalan yang sama, yaitu keamanan pangan.
Menurut Wakil Presiden Prof.Dr. K.H. Ma’ruf Amin justru membuka peluang peningkatkan perdagangan, investasi pada riset, dan inovasi teknologi pangan hingga digitalisasi sistem ketelusuran halal.
Pernyataan ini disampaikan Wapres saat menghadiri peluncuran State of the Global Islamic Economy Report (SGIE) 2022, peluncuran Gerakan Ritel Modern Peduli Produk Halal, Halal Center Indonesia, sekaligus memperkenalkan aplikasi Halal Scanner “Haliv”, yang digelar di Thamrin City, Selasa, 24 Mei 2022.
Capaian Indonesia pada sektor makanan halal yang menempati peringkat ke 2 dari sebelumnya berada di peringkat ke 6 juga membawa pesan kuat bahwa Indonesia memiliki modal dan potensi besar, utamanya untuk mewujudkan cita-cita Indonesia sebagai pusat produsen halal dunia. Hanya saja perlu terobosan baru yang konkrit dan implementatif. Sementara secara keseluruhan, Indonesia berada di peringkat ke 4.
“Oleh karena itu, saya ingin memanfaatkan kesempatan yang baik ini untuk menegaskan kembali bahwa pekerjaan besar kita ini menuntut keterlibatan seluruh sektor dalam ekosistem ekonomi dan keuangan syariah untuk saling menyanggah dan bekerja sama sebagai prinsip saling tolong-menolong,” kata Wapres.
Hal pertama yang dibutuhkan dalam upaya mencapai tujuan tersebut menurut Wapres adalah kesadaran untuk saling menopang antara pemangku kepentingan akan menciptakan solusi-solusi untuk beragam masalah, seperti pendanaan riset dan pengembangan penguasaan inovasi dan juga teknologi, peningkatan kualitas dan kapasitas sumber daya manusia hingga akses pasar.
INFO BISNIS: Produk Halal Indonesia Disukai Sejumlah Negara Luar
Tanpa dukungan riset dan inovasi, Indonesia akan kehilangan peluang besar untuk ekspor produk halal, baik ke negara-negara OKI mau pun non OKI. Selain itu, kolaborasi riset akan mendorong inovasi pada industri produk halal, termasuk untuk memenuhi kebutuhan bahan dan produk subsitusi impor.
Wapres juga menyebutkan telah meminta Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) agar memperkuat kolaborasi dengan BPJPH, Badan POM, KNEKS, Pemerintah Daerah, pelaku usaha mau pun elemen masyarakat lainnya.
“Saya harap seluruh pihak terkait dapat merespon sesuai dengan kewenangannya, seraya terus memperluas kerja sama di berbagai sektor ekonomi syariah,” tuturnya.
Yang kedua yang tidak kalah penting yang harus dilakukan adalah saling menyokong antara industri besar dan industri kecil.
Wapres bercerita, saat kunjungan ke daerah, kerap meninjau UMKM setempat, dan menemukan cukup banyak UMKM yang sudah mulai bisa berinovasi, dan menembus pasar ekspor.
Untuk itu Wapres berharap industri besar dapat mendukung UMKM diantaranya melalui fasilitasi inkubasi bisnis, pendanaan kreatif, penguatan kapasitas dan literasi, maupun pengintegrasian global halal hub. Langkah ini semakin memudahkan masyarakat mendapatkan produk yang terjamin kehalalannya. ***

The first thing that is needed in an effort to achieve this goal, according to the Vice President, is an awareness of mutual support between stakeholders and will create solutions to various problems, such as funding research and development mastery of innovation and technology, improving the quality and capacity of human resources to market access.
Without research and innovation support, Indonesia will lose a great opportunity to export halal products, both to OIC and non OIC countries. In addition, research collaboration will encourage innovation in the halal product industry, including to meet the needs of imported substitute materials and products.
The vice president also said that he had asked the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to strengthen collaboration with BPJPH, POM Agency, KNEKS, Regional Governments, business actors and other elements of society.
“I hope all relevant parties can respond in accordance with their authority, while continuing to expand cooperation in various sectors of the sharia economy,” he said.
The second, which is no less important, is mutual support between large and small industries.
The vice president said that when he visited the region, he often visited local MSMEs, and found that quite a number of MSMEs had started to be able to innovate and penetrate the export market.
For this reason, the Vice President hopes that large industries can support MSMEs, including by facilitating business incubation, creative funding, strengthening capacity and literacy, as well as integrating global halal hubs.
