Sebelumnya, diberitakan Kapal Perang Republik Indonesia (KRI) Karotang 872 menggagalkan pengiriman 34 kontainer melalui Pelabuhan Belawan, Sumatera Utara (Sumut).

Jokowi Center Asks Indonesian Navy to Release Merchandise Ships for Farmers and Fishermen | OBROLANBISNIS.com — The Jokowi Center of North Sumatra Province (North Sumatra) asked the Indonesian Navy, in this case Lantamal I Belawan, to immediately release the MV Mathu Bhum which was carrying goods from farmers and fishermen.

This was revealed by the Chairman of the North Sumatra Jokowi Center, Sugianto Makmur in response to the detention of the MV Mathu Bhum ship, Sunday, June 19, 2022.

He views that the detention of merchant ships belonging to North Sumatran farmers and fishermen has injured the nawacita of Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

“President Jokowi would never want to hurt people’s hearts, let alone to the detriment of farmers and fishermen,” said the PDIP politician.

The legislator who sits in the North Sumatra DPRD views that the Navy, in this case Lantamal I Belawan, has misinterpreted President Jokowi’s orders.

“In this case, Lantamal I Belawan initially reasoned to carry out the President’s order, temporarily banning the export of CPO and its derivative products to arrest the ship,” said the Chairperson of the North Sumatra Jokowi Center. Meanwhile, the technical agency, in this case BC and Syahbandar, did not find any faults with the ship or its cargo.

This bespectacled man assessed that the detention of the MV Mathu Bhum had disturbed and created problems in the North Sumatra trade sector.

In fact, President Jokowi wants the domestic trade industry to grow after the pandemic a few years ago.

Therefore, the Chairman of the North Sumatra Jokowi Center, Sugianto Makmur, asked Danlantamal I Belawan to be wise to immediately release the MV Mathu Bhum ship, so that it can sail again to distribute merchandise belonging to farmers and fishermen who have been held back for a long time.

Previously, it was reported that the Republic of Indonesia Warship (KRI) Karotang 872 thwarted the shipment of 34 containers through Belawan Port, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).

“The arrests began with intelligence information from the Belawan Lantamal 1 Base, which was followed up by elements of Koarmada 1 and KRI Karotang 872, which succeeded in capturing KM MV Mathu Bhum,” said the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, Vice Admiral Agung Prasetiawan at Belawan Port, last May 6.

Agung Prasetiawan took the action to follow up on the instructions of the Indonesian President, Jokowi, to ban the export of cooking oil, CPO and their derivatives. Then according to the Regulation of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2022 dated April 23, 2022 concerning the Temporary Prohibition of Exports of CPO and its Derivatives.

“The actions of the Navy are in accordance with the task of enforcement at sea. Currently the case is still under investigation by Lantamal 1 Belawan,” he explained. ***
