Tour Geopark Kaldera Toba yang diinisiasi SMSI Provinsi Sumatera Utara akan berlangsung dari tanggal 4 – 6 Februari 2023, dihadiri Ketua SMSI Pusat Firdaus dan sejumlah pengurus SMSI Pusat, Pengurus SMSI Provinsi dan Pengurus SMSI Kab/Kota se-Indonesia.
Seperti diketahui HPN tahun 2023 menunjuk Provinsi Sumatera Utara (Sumut) sebagai tuan rumah.
Ketua SMSI Sumut, Erris Napitupulu bersyukur HPN tahun 2023 digelar di Sumut. “SMSI sebagai konstituen Dewan Pers dapat berpartisipasi memeriahkan HPN dengan agenda Ekspedisi Geopark Kaldera Toba,” ungkap Erris.
Erris berterimakasih kepada Ketua SMSI Firdaus, Bapak Firdaus bersama Pengurus Pusat yang telah menyempatkan waktunya datang ke Sumut untuk mengikuti Ekspedisi Geopark Kaldera Toba.

“Hari ini, Ketua SMSI Pusat bersama seluruh anggota SMSI dapat menikmati panorama indah Danau Toba yang berada di Taput tepatnya Geosite Huta Ginjang. Selain itu, peserta Ekspedisi Geopark Kaldera Toba juga akan digiring mengitari sejumlah objek wisata Kabupaten Taput lainnya,” cetus Erris.
Terlaksananya Ekspedisi Geopark Kaldera Toba yang SMSI Sumut tak terlepas dari dukungan seluruh stakeholder, diantaranya Gubernur Sumut, Kapolda Sumut, Bupati Taput, Bupati Samosir, Bupati Sergai dan para Forkominda se-Sumut.
Erris mengaku, inilah dukungan nyata SMSI dalam mempertahankan Geopark Kaldera Toba yang telah diraih Sumut. “Melalui Ekspedisi Geopark Kaldera Toba diharapkan para jurnalis dan pengusaha media yang bergabung di SMSI dalam mengexplore keindahan dan culture yang ada di kawasan Danau Toba,” harap Erris.
