SAJ rencananya digelar di Medan, 19 Maret 2023 mendatang bekerjasama dengan PT Bank Sumut.
“Kita merencanakan kegiatan SAJ ini bisa menembus 15 ribu peserta. Tema nanti yang kita usung Mencerdaskan dan Menyehatkan Anak Bangsa,” katanya.
Ketua DPD AMPI Sumut ini menambahkan, untuk peserta SD menempuh jarak 1.500m, SMP 5.000m dan SMA serta kategori umum 10.000m.
Sejalan hal tersebut Pengprov PASI Sumut nantinya akan memberikan bea siswa dan uang saku selama para juara menjalani pendidikan.
“Panitia juga tentunya menyiapkan hadiah bagi para juara. Jumlah total hadiah masih kita persiapkan. Yang pasti tidak mengecewakan,” ujarnya.

David lebih lanjut menjelaskan, pihaknya menjadikan kejuaraan antar pelajar ini sebagai salah satu program kegiatan, sejalan dengan keinginan seluruh pengurus untuk lebih memasyarakatkan atletik mulai dari tingkat SD, dengan target jangka panjang menjaring talenta-talenta atletik potensial untuk nantinya dibina lebih lanjut menjadi atlet andalan.
“Paling tidak dari event ini kita turut mendukung Program Pemerintah menyehatkan dan mencerdaskan anak bangsa,” ujarnya.
Berkenaan hal tersebut, Pengprov PASI Sumut dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini akan bekerjasama dengan Pemkab Pemko serta Departemen Agama dan juga Pemprovsu, guna penjaringan peserta dari tingkat SD, SMP, SMA dan juga Madrasah.
Sementara itu, Gubernur Sumatera Utara, Edi Rahmayadi berharap gawean ini bisa terus berjalan rutin tiap tahun. Gubernur juga menginginkan SAJ bisa disingkronkan dengan rangkaian menjelang HUT Pemprovsu.
