Pertemuan antara pihak yang berseberangan ini berlangsung Selasa, 13 Juni 2023, dihadiri langsung Camat Parlilitan Darmo Hasugian, Kapolsek Parlilitan JH.Turnip dan juga Danramil Parlilitan D. Situmorang beserta Tokoh Masyarakat, Lembaga Adat Sionom Hudon dan juga Direktur KSPPM, Delima Silalahi.
Saut Tumanggor selaku Sekretaris Lembaga Adat Sionom Hudon kembali menyatakan dengan tegas bahwa mereka menolak disahkannya hutan adat seluas 1.763 Ha untuk diserahkan kepada pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab.
Saut menjelaskan, masyarakat di desanya tidak mengetahui perihal pengesahan SK pelepasan Tanah Adat. Bahkan, Lembaga Adat Sionom Hutan dan tokoh masyarakat Kecamatan Parlilitan, akan melayangkan surat keberatan kepada pemerintah apabila ada indikasi penyerobotan hutan di tanah ulayat Desa Sionom Hudon dan Desa Simataniari.
“Isu yang beredar dari masyarakat Desa Simataniari, bahwa ada pelepasan lahan seluas 1.763 Ha. Perihal ini perlu ditegaskan kembali bahwa kami tidak menerima dan tidak pernah menyetujui adanya tanah adat di wilayah Lembaga Adat Sionom Hudon, karena hal ini sudah menjadi ketetapan dan aturan dari nenek moyang kita,” tukas Saut.

Sementara itu, Delima Silalahi mengatakan, dukungan mereka dalam pelepasan wilayah menjadi tanah adat ini merupakan bentuk penyelamatan lingkungan dan bencana alam.
“Dalam penyelamatan hutan dan lingkungan seperti banjir bandang, panasnya cuaca, cuma inilah satu-satunya hutan yang tersisa di Sumatera Utara, meliputi Tapanuli Selatan dan Mandailing Natal. KSPPM konsen tentang hal ini karena ini adalah kesempatan bagi masyarakat yang ada di Indonesia, agar hutan adat dilindungi, supaya tidak diberikan kepada perusahaan-perusahaan,” sebutnya.
Menanggapi hal itu, Saut Tumanggor kembali menegaskan, posisi mereka bukan membela perusahaan yang disebutkan oleh KSPPM, namun untuk melindungi tanah ulayat mereka.
