Linggom juga menambahkan, event ini juga diharapkan mampu menghadirkan multiplier efek dalam peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Dengan program sport tourism, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan ke Danau Toba yang merupakan destinasi wisata prioritas nasional.
Sementara itu, Wakil Gubenur Sumatera Utara yang juga Ketua Pembina IMI Sumatera Utara, Musa Rajekshah atau yang sering di sapa Ijeck, kembali mengikuti kejuaraan nasional ini dan akan bersaing dengan 38 pembalap rally lainnya.

Sebelumnya, Musa Rajekshah mengatakan, terselenggaranya Danau Toba Rally diharapkan dapat semakin mempromosikan kawasan Danau Toba melalui ajang sport tourism di mata masyarakat lokal dan dunia.
“Kita mengucapkan terima kasih kepada seluruh pihak yang mendukung event ini terlaksana terkhusus kepada TPL yang telah menyiapkan lintasan balapan di kawasan konsesi yang dimana operasional perusahaan di sektor harus berhenti sementara untuk mendukung berjalannya event ini. Harapan kita semoga event ini terus bergulir, karena kita mau membuat Danau Toba semakin ramai. Itu sebabnya event rally ini sengaja dibuat disini untuk mendukung dan promosi pariwisata di kawasan Danau Toba,” ujarnya.
“Danau Toba Rally 2023 ingin mendorong event ini menuju event internasional di tingkat kejuaraan dunia. Karena kita pernah menjadi tuan rumah Kejuaraan Rally Dunia (WRC) pada tahun 1996 dan 1997,” kata Ijeck.
Ijeck yang didampingi Direktur Utama TPL, Venkateshwarlu Cheruku dan Deputy Social Capital Head Linggom Dongoran, Ketua Badan Pengawas IMI, Jeffrey JP, Ketua IMI Sumut, Harun Mustafa Nasution, Wakil Bupati Simalungun, Bupati Samosir, Bupati Dairi, Bupati Pakpak Bharat, dan Kapolres Simalungun melepas 39 pereli untuk adu kecepatan di Lintasan HTI TPL Sektor Aek Nauli.
