Menurut Dharmawaty Chang, teknologi berkembang pesat saat ini. Bahkan di era digitalisasi seperti saat ini, mereka (Generasi Z) lebih fasih dalam mengunakan mobile atau smartphone
“Dalam perkembangan dunia smartphone yang sangat cepat ini, selalu adanya dua sisi yang saling berlawanan. Apakah smartphone sekarang telah berubah menjadi kebutuhan premier bagi kita? Apakah efeknya jika kita terlalu bergantung dengan smartphone? Bagaimana membagi waktu kita secara bijaksana dalam menggunakan smartphone?,” orasi Founder Medan Parenting Club’ ini.
Oleh karenanya, Dharmawaty Chang mengajak mahasiswa-mahasiswi Institut Bisnis IT&B untuk bijak memanfaatkan keberadaan teknologi smartphone ka arah yang lebih positif.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Dharmawaty Chang, SS, CHT, CPS juga memaparkan perbedaan tingkah laku dan pola pikir di setiap generasi, mulai dari generasi baby boomer, Generasi X, Generasi Y, Generasi Z dan Generasi Millenial Alfa.

Dharmawaty Chang juga sempat menceritakan perbedaan antara zaman sekarang dan 2 dekade yang lalu didalam komunikasi, dimana dulu sewaktu mencari seseorang, masih menggunakan alat teknologi seperti pager, sedangkan sekarang ini sudah lebih canggih lagi hanya menggunakan telunjuk cari mengunakan smartphone untuk berkomunikasi dengan keluarga, teman maupun lainnya.
Seminar yang dibawakan Dharmawaty Chang diakhiri dengan penyerahan plakat IB IT&B yang diwakilkan oleh Marketing Manager Ms. Wenny Suwisno BBA, BBM.
