SIC Batch 5 2023/2024 mengusung tema A Journey Towards a Sustainable Future dengan topik khusus yaitu: Social issues & Wealth inequality, Education, dan Environment & Renewable energy.
Para peserta akan diperlengkapi dengan keahlian teknologi terkini, seperti Coding & programming, Internet of Things, dan yang paling baru, mereka akan dibekali juga dengan keahlian kecerdasan buatan (AI).
Setelah pelatihan-pelatihan yang diberikan, para peserta SIC Batch 5 di arahkan untuk merancang inovasi dan menyiapkan prototipe produk teknologi mereka untuk untuk memecahkan berbagai masalah yang terkait dengan ketiga topik tersebut.

Ennita mengatakan, kebutuhan akan talenta digital yang memiliki keterampilan abad 21 sangat tinggi dan ada banyak peluang di bidang itu. Dari yang sudah tersedia saat ini, Indonesia masih membutuhkan lebih banyak talenta yang berkualitas untuk mengakselerasi transformasi digital dan mendorong ekonomi digital.
Jika tidak disiapkan sejak dini, Indonesia akan kekurangan 47 juta talenta digital pada 2030. Di sisi lain, 60% guru di Indonesia juga masih terbatas keterampilan ICT-nya, sehingga proses pengajaran dan pengenalan teknologi kepada generasi muda tak maksimal. Ini dapat berdampak pada target pemerintah menghasilkan 9 juta talenta digital dari 2015, hingga tahun 2030 atau 600 ribu orang setiap tahun.

Sejak diselenggarakan mulai 2019, SIC telah diikuti oleh 5.919 siswa dan 642 guru dari 341 SMK dan MA di seluruh Indonesia. SIC Batch 5 2023/2024 akan dimulai pada Desember 2023 hingga Juli 2024. Program ini akan meliputi beberapa tahapan seperti: pelatihan guru, pelatihan Coding and Programming, IoT Bootcamp, dan pelatihan AI.
Pelatihan Coding & Programming akan berlangsung total 140 jam dengan materi berupa Phyton programming & Libraries, probability & statistic, machine learning dan deep learning, Scratch, Rurple, C Programming, Arduino, dan Algoritm Problem Solving Basic.
SIC juga menggelar IoT Course dengan materi IoT device, platform & data analysis, Linux & C&Java, Networks & protocols, Node.js & Sensor control, dan Phyton programming, dengan total 100 jam pelatihan. Selanjutnya adalah AI Course dengan total 100 jam yang meliputi machine learning dan data learning.
SIC Batch 5 akan memasuki fase Pre-Learning pada Desember 2023, terdiri dari campaign, sosialisasi, registrasi, logic test, dan assessment. Dari total registrasi diharapkan yang lolos proses logic test SIC Batch 5 ini dapat diikuti oleh 2.000 peserta baik dari SMA dan setara, serta universitas, untuk selanjutnya berhak untuk mengikuti pelatihan Coding & Programming.

Kemudian dari total 2.000 peserta akan diseleksi menjadi 1.000 peserta untuk dapat mengikuti pelatihan AI & IoT Bootcamp dengan fokus pada AI Product Development and Innovation, yang dilanjutkan dengan IoT Fundamentals, Data Gathering, & Development, serta Data Science and AI.
Pada tahap akhir program, peserta akan mengikuti Capstone Project di mana para peserta yang terdiri dari empat anggota dalam satu tim akan membangun sistem AI-Driven IoT System sebagai Final Project.
Dari total 1.000 peserta yang terdiri dari 500 SMA dan setara dan 500 universitas atau masing-masing 125 team, akan diseleksi lagi menjadi 40 tim, yang akan melaju ke babak semifinal. Pada babak ini mereka diseleksi menjadi 15 tim yang akan melaju ke babak final pada masing-masing kategori.
