Meriahkan HUT RI ke 79, UNPRI Gelar Berbagai Perlombaan • OBROLANBISNIS.com — Dalam memeriahkan Hari Ulang Tahun Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia (RI) ke-79, Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) Medan menggelar berbagai perlombaan antar-internal kampus.
Lomba yang dipusatkan di kampus utama UNPRI Jalan Sampul Kelurahan Sei Putih Barat Kecamatan Medan Petisah, Kota Medan, digelar sehari sebelum 17 Agustus 2024. Kegiatan ini dibuka dan ditutup Rektor UNPRI, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes.

Adapun cabang olahraga dan lomba yang digelar antar-unit di kampus UNPRI ini terdiri dari tenis meja, bulutangkis, busana masa penjajahan, busana nuansa kemerdekaan modern, dress code tim terunik, yel-yel divisi, video tik tok, tebak nama antar divisi, makan kerupuk, bola dan kotak.
Setelah bertanding dan berlomba dalam suasana akrab dan riang, akhirnya keluar sebagai pemenang pertandingan cabang olahraga (cabor) bulutangkis, juara I BPSTI dan Fakultas Ekonomi, juara II Fakultas Agro Teknologi dan juara III Fakultas Keperawatan dan Kebidanan (FKK).
Selanjutnya pemenang lomba makan kerupuk, juara I Fakultas Kedokteran, Kedokteran Gigi, dan Ilmu Kesehatan (FKKGIK), juara II unit SDM, dan juara III LPMM. Kemudian pemenang tenis meja, juara I Fakultas Psikologi (FPsi), juara II FKKGIK, dan juara III Fakultas Hukum (FH).
Rektor UNPRI Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes dalam sambutannya ketika membuka acara itu berharap, pertandingan olahraga dan lomba yang digelar hendaknya dapat merajut kebersamaan, persatuan dan kesatuan antar internal kampus, sekaligus menggelorakan semangat kemerdekaan, kebangsaan dan patriotisme.

Sementara itu, ditempat terpisah, Sabtu, 17 Agustus 2024, Ketua BPH UNPRI Prof Dr.Tommy Leonard SH MKn mengatakan, kegiatan lomba yang digelar juga bertujuan memperkokoh dan memupuk jiwa nasionalisme dan patriotisme sebagaimana telah diwariskan oleh para pejuang, dan pahlawan bangsa.
Selain itu juga, kata Tommy, sebagai sarana menggairahkan kembali semangat berolahraga, agar terbentuk fisik dan jiwa yang sehat.
