Ketua Perkumpulan Teochew Bersatu Sumut Juswan Tjoe didampingi Wakil Ketua Dr Agus Susanto Tan dan Ketua Panitia Amrin Susilo Halim menyampaikan para tamu merupakan suku Teochew yang berasal dari berbagai daerah di Sumatera Utara.
Memasuki Tahun Ular Kayu, Juswan Tjoe berharap, Indonesia dibawah kepemimpinan presiden Prabowo mampu membawa kemakmuran bagi masyarakat.
“Memasuki tahun ular kayu, tentu kita berharap yang baik disetiap tahunnya. Kemakmuran negara dan masyarakat, dibawah kepemimpinan bapak Prabowo Indonesia bisa lebih maju dari berbagai aspek,” ujarnya.
Memasuki tahun yang baru, Perkumpulan Teochew Bersatu Sumut tentu telah memiliki susunan agenda dengan tujuan membantu masyarakat.

Kemeriahan Imlek tahun ini terlihat dari antusias para anggota yang hadir, baik itu dari dalam dan luar Kota Medan.
“Semarak kemeriahan Imlek tahun ini sangat ramai yang hadir. Perayaan Imlek lebih meriah dengan diisi berbagai penampilan dari anak-anak muda,” ungkapnya.
Perayaan ini, disebutnya, bukan hanya sebagai wadah untuk menjalin persaudaraan tetapi juga bentuk mempertahankan budaya dan mengenalkannya kepada generasi muda.

Ada berbagai tradisi dari suku Teochew yang ditampilkan, Ketua Panitia perayaan Imlek 2025, Amrin Susilo Halim mengatakan, berbagai penampilan diisi oleh anak muda suku Teochew.
