Suksesnya penyelenggaraan PON ini tidak terlepas dari kerja keras PLN ICON PLUS khususnya Strategic Bisnis Unit Regional Sumatera Bagian Utara yang mendukung PLN kehandalan jaringan telekomunikasi SCADA PLN dengan menyiagakan personel-personel disetiap venue PON.
Setelah sebelumnya pasokan listrik sempat terkendala karena adanya gangguan pada subsistem yang terjadi di sebagian wilayah Aceh.
Direktur Utama PLN Icon Plus, Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi, menugaskan Direksi Infrastruktur dan Jaringan, Doni Aris Setiawan serta General Manager Strategic Bisnis Unit Sumatera Utara, Ajun Muhammad Imanto bersama Senior Manager Enrico H Batubara untuk mengawal ketat dan mengecek kesiapan jaringan secara langsung di venue-venue PON.
Ari Rahmat juga kembali menegaskan komitmennya untuk terus mendukung keandalan infrastruktur layanan jaringan telekomunikasi PLN terkhusus untuk suksesnya perhelatan ajang olahraga terbesar di Indonesia yang akan berlangsung di Aceh dan Sumatera Utara.
Ajun Imanto menyampaikan, setidaknya 7 Tim yang disebar di beberapa area untuk memastikan tidak ada gangguan jaringan pada saat pelaksanaan PON.
Tim-tim tersebut berada di Network Operation Center Kantor Perwakilan Aceh, Gardu Hubung Stadion Harapan Bangsa, POP Gardu Induk Banda Aceh, POP Gardu Hubung Ajuen, Warrom PLN Unit Distribusi Aceh, UP2D dan Tim yang berpatroli dijalur-jalur kabel PLN ICON PLUS.
Enrico H Batubara selaku Senior Manager Strategic Bisnis Unit Regional Sumatera Bagian Utara yang baru ditugaskan untuk menggantikan Ajun M Imanto juga menyampaikan komitmennya untuk mendukung penuh pelaksanaan PON XXI sampai dengan penutupan yang akan dilaksanakan di Medan pada tanggal 20 September 2024.
PON 2024 menjadi PON pertama yang diadakan di dua provinsi secara bersamaan, yakni Sumatera Utara dan Aceh.
